During the class of Foreign Language, the learning objectives are to use the five C’s: Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities skills, these are valuable to my future because it will allow me to be able to communicate better with bilingual speakers. I am using the whole spanish course as an artifact for Forgein Language. I practiced the standard of Communication by understanding, interpreting, and analyzing what is heard, read, or viewed on a variety of topics and present information, concepts, and ideas to inform, explain, persuade, and narrate on a variety of topics using appropriate media and adapting to various audiences of listeners, readers, or viewers. I also practiced the standard of cultures by using the language to investigate, explain, and reflect on the relationship between the practices and perspectives of the cultures studied. The assignment to finish the spanish course and required me to learn spanish through a variety of assignments. The Process I went through to do this project and meet the standards first started with the introduction to Spanish with fundamental building blocks in four key areas of foreign language study. For example, listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing. Each unit consists of an ongoing adventure story, a new vocabulary theme and grammar concepts, numerous interactive games reinforcing vocabulary and grammar, reading and listening comprehension activities, speaking and writing activities, and multimedia cultural presentations covering major Spanish-speaking areas in Europe and the Americas. Throughout this process listed above, I have realized I have learned or grown in the following ways by advancing my spanish vocabulary. These link back to the 5’C’s and Standards by showing I have done the following things that I can communicate more efficiently with spanish speakers. This tells me that this course helped me enhance my vocabulary. The Two School-Wide Learning Outcomes I demonstrated with this artifact are a self Directed learner who communicates effectively and thinking critically and creatively. I have demonstrated self directed learner who communicates effectively in this project by demonstrating proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. This is important because it shows that I have gained something from taking foeign language. I have demonstrated thinking critically and creatively in this project by Transferring learned skills to real life. This is important because now I feel more confident when communicating with spanish speakers. I could have improved my work on this project by doing the speaking portion of the lesson. One thing I would like to improve upon for my Language/Edgenuity Course is trying to do the speaking portion instead of skipping it. One thing I would you change if I had a chance to do this project over again would be trying to understand every concept presented to me. One thing that you have seen in your classmates' work or process that I would like to try is finishing before the due date. One goal I would like to set up for myself for my next Edgenuity Course is taking every assignment seriously. Overall this Course taught me how to communicate more efficiently with spanish speakers.
